The very expensive cameras used
for outside broadcasts demand heavy duty tripods to give a full range
of adjustability
and good stability, even on rough terrain. The project specification
detailed that the tripod bags must withstand regular travel and rough
treatment,
be weatherproof, and easy to pack and carry. The design must allow
rapid deployment when seconds are vital, and the company’s branding
must be recognisable.
Fine Group re-evaluated the requirements with the customer and designed
and developed two bags:
- A heavyweight, rigid version for travelling news and documentary teams
- A flexible, lighter weight, lower cost version for studio and keen amateur use
